Paul Hopkins Park on FM 517 east of I-45

Race Courses

USCA C-1 and C-2 races will run upstream and turn counter clockwise past the second bridge FM 646 and return to the park.

Cadet, Girls, and Youth C-2 will paddle laps of a course in sight of the park. Junior C-2 racers will follow a course taking them to 646 and back.

The Open Solo race will go upstream turning at the second bridge FM646. At the park, racers will portage from the bayou into the creek and then proceed downstream to Hwy 3, the first bridge downstream from the park. It will end at the park.

This class is for any type of solo boat. There will be recognition for fastest man and woman.

Potluck lunch will be served prior to the war canoe race.

Entry Fees

Adult classes - $15 first race, $8 second race

Youth classes - $10 covers all races

Getting There

Take I-45 south of Houston toward Galveston. Take Exit 19 at FM517. Turn left under the freeway. Look for Paul Hopkins Park on the right. There is a traffic light at the entrance to the park.
