Solo races were the main events for the adult racers with nine racers competing in C-1 and six each in K-1 and Unlimited solo.Ý Terry and Jayce Acker looked strong in the Aluminum race.Ý They are looking for a cruiser.Ý Alan Lamb paddled a K-1 to win the 3-mile Youth Unlimited race and was third in the Junior unlimited which was run shortly after the Youth race.ÝÝ The Yonley, Shannahan, and Frakes team was surprised by the strength of their competition in the Junior Unlimited race.Ý The mixed race was battle of Yonleys ñ Lori vs. Tom. It was tight in the early going but Tom didnít let his sister beat him.Ý Brandy and Don Zeek turned in a good time as well.Ý There was a good turnout and a good time at the race this year.Ý Thanks to Mark Simmons, Frank Gray, and, of course, Kathy Derrick for their hard work and help to make it go.ÝÝÝ
